Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
Elixa (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is a puzzle game published by Mateus Amaral. This policy explains what data the game handles and why. We do not sell your data, show you ads, require an account, or track your identity.
Summary
- No accounts, no login, no personal information collected.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No third-party tracking or data brokers.
- Your game progress is stored only on your device.
- We collect anonymous, aggregate gameplay analytics to make the game better. These analytics cannot identify you.
What we collect
1. On-device game data (never leaves your device)
Your level progress, stars, and app settings are saved locally on your device using standard app storage. This data is not transmitted to us and is removed if you uninstall the game or use the in-game “Reset progress” option.
2. Anonymous gameplay analytics
To understand how the game is played and improve difficulty and performance, the game sends anonymous gameplay events to our analytics provider, PostHog. Events are ingested through PostHog’s United States endpoint, and the client’s IP address is stripped and never stored. These events describe gameplay, not people. Examples of what is sent:
- Which level was started, solved, or abandoned, and how long it took.
- Number of moves, undos, and invalid moves (to calibrate difficulty).
- Anonymous rendering-performance samples (frame timings) to detect stutter on different devices.
- Coarse technical context: device model, operating-system version, app build type, and a randomly generated, self-minted anonymous identifier that is not linked to you, your device’s advertising ID, your name, email, or any account.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or any other personal or sensitive information. We never ask you to sign in.
The anonymous identifier is a random value created for analytics grouping only; it is not tied to your identity and cannot be used to contact or re-identify you.
Why we collect it
Solely to operate and improve the game — balancing puzzle difficulty, finding and fixing performance problems, and understanding which features are used. We have a legitimate interest in improving the product; the data is anonymous and minimal.
Who processes the data
- PostHog — product analytics, used to store and aggregate the anonymous events above. See PostHog’s privacy information at https://posthog.com/privacy.
We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not sell data.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics events are retained by our analytics provider for a limited period for aggregate analysis and then expire. On-device data persists until you delete it or uninstall the game.
Children’s privacy
Elixa does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because we collect no personal or identifying information and show no ads, the game does not build profiles of any user.
Your choices
- Reset progress: clear all on-device progress from the in-game Settings.
- Uninstall: removes all on-device data.
- Contact us (below) with any privacy question or request.
